Event Details

The second annual National Conference on College Student Grief will provide a national forum for student leaders, grieving college students, the college mental health community, college administrators and other interested parties to discuss current issues and future directions in college student grief support. It will take place during an energizing and inspiring weekend that includes educational seminars, networking opportunities, grief support workshops, and the opportunity to volunteer at or participate in the Boot Camp 2 Beat Cancer!

Schedule of events

Friday, August 14, 2009
10:00-2:00 Transportation from airport to hotel Registration (lunch provided)
2:00-6:45 (issues/problems of coping with an illness or death during college)
7:00-8:30 Dinner/Keynote address by Illene Noppe

Saturday, August 15, 2009
7:00-7:30 Breakfast at hotel
(optional) 7:45-8:00 Transportation for those interested from hotel to Boot Camp 2 Beat Cancer
(optional) 8:00-10:30 Boot Camp 2 Beat Cancer for those interested
(optional) 8:00-11:00 have individual meetings with Sam Kass about organization/conference
10:30-11:00 Transportation back to hotel for those that chose to attend Boot Camp
11:00-12:00 Lunch at hotel for everyone
1:00-5:30 (possible solutions to issues of coping with an illness or death during college)
5:30-7:00 Conference close/Transportation from hotel to airport

Hotel

The entire conference will be held at the Hampton Inn Brier Creek (so no need for transportation)! A block of rooms have been reserved for conference guests for August 14, 2009 at the Hampton Inn Brier Creek (Raleigh, NC) at a special rate of $89+tax. Registration

Early Registration fee (ends June 30!) for the conference (includes 4 meals, a t-shirt, and the 2 days of the conference):
$40 for all who are affiliated with a chapter of Students of AMF (students, alums, advisors)
$50 for everyone who is not a National Students of AMF member

Late Registration fee (ends July 30!) for the conference (includes 4 meals, a t-shirt, and the 2 days of the conference):
$50 for all who are affiliated with a chapter of Students of AMF (students, alums, advisors)
$60 for everyone who is not a National Students of AMF member
